The incident happened on I-84 westbound in Hartford on Wednesday, Sept. 21, Connecticut State Police said.
Troopers saw a Mercedes-Benz swerving and failing to maintain a proper lane position near Exit 44 at about 11 p.m., police said.
Police pulled the vehicle over on the Exit 40 off-ramp, according to the report.
State Police said the driver, identified as Steven Samuels, of New Britain, was found to be wanted on an arrest warrant from the Farmington Police Department.
After police detained Samuels, they saw a "large amount" of marijuana in the vehicle, according to the report.
Police reported finding the following during a search of the Mercedes:
- A loaded revolver
- More than one kilogram of marijuana
- 231 grams of illegal mushrooms packaged for sale
- Vials containing crack cocaine
- Items used for the sale of illegal drugs and narcotics
According to the report, Samuels was charged with:
- Illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension
- Failure to drive in proper lane
- Use of drug paraphernalia
- Possession with intent to sell narcotics
- Possession with intent to sell hallucinogens
- Possession with intent - one kilogram or more of cannabis
- Carrying a pistol without a permit
- Illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle
Samuels is set to appear in court on Monday, Oct. 3, authorities said.
